Moment, shortened to MMT, is a website with free photography for personal and commercial use. I launched MMT in 2014 to share my love of photography with the world. Over the years I’ve taken countless photos and wanted to post some of those photos to use for free and give back to the online community. The content spans many categories, including nature, city scenes, workspaces, and macro photography.
Photos on MMT are licensed under a CC0 license, meaning they can be used freely for any purpose without attribution (but is always appreciated). A high-resolution version of each photo is available for download. Regular updates are made to the website to refine the browsing, discovering, and saving experience.
MMT has been featured on Shopify, Canva, Medium, The Next Web, and AllTheFreeStock.
Focus on the Photos
The design of MMT is minimal and focused on the photography. Each photo on MMT features a large image preview which links to a high-resolution download of the photo that can be downloaded or saved directly to Dropbox.
The photos can used in any project– commercial or non-commercial. New photos are added every week.
Designed for Discovery
The user experience of MMT is focused on helping users browse, discover, and save photos.
Photos can be filtered by category and orientation
When selecting the search field, Top Searches are shown with links to popular searches
MMT is responsive and scales to many types of devices. On smaller devices, the header is shorter and the Search/Categories options are separated into tabs.
The categories for each individual photo are readily available and users can browse for photos within a single category

The branding for MMT is bold and typographic. The primary typeface used in the logo, website, and marketing collateral is Averta (Kostas Bartsokas) a clean sans-serif typeface. Alternate versions of the logo are also available for different mediums and formats. In promotional materials for MMT, photography is also a key element.
MMT is promoted on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, and Tumblr with weekly photo updates, featured content, inspiration, and photo collections. Many of the social media campaigns include branded graphics and landing pages.
