Moment (MMT), is a website with free photography for personal and commercial use. I launched MMT in 2014 to share my love of photography with the world. The content spans many categories, including nature, city scenes, technology, workspaces, and macro photography.
I created and refined the core design framework and UI/UX for various
components of MMT. This includes the interface controls, site navigation,
archive pages, single asset pages, and landing pages. I built a custom Bootstrap based WordPress theme, which allows for rapid iteration and updates.
I also manage the marketing and social media presence of MMT in order to promote new content and features.
Browsing & Discovery
The experience of MMT is designed to make finding the perfect photo or video effortless. The top navigation bar prominently features search and other curated content pages.
Viewing a Single Photo
When viewing a single photo or video, the user can download it, view colors, tags, colors, partner photos, and related MMT photos. The license information is clearly shown alongside the download.
Categories and colors are shown for each photo/video
Resize and Edit
Photos can be edited and resized directly on MMT
Curated related photos/videos from our partners
Collections and Tags
Tags and collections are shown so the user can see similar photos
Collections allow the user to find photos/videos of a similar theme or group of categories. Instead of showing photos/videos by just category, MMT can better curate and show photos/videos that are similar in look and feel, share categories/tags, share a common theme, and more, allowing the user to find the perfect photo/video.
The Explore page has new and trending content on MMT.
